“The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. October 1. The Takanini trainer, R. J. Wallace, was able to nomina'e 10 two-year-olds for the Welcome Stakes at Ellerslie next Saturday and with Earl Gabador, Gold Chick and Pow Wow at Te Aroha increasing the number in form to six, he was set a difficult problem as to which he should start. It is expected, however, that the stable runners will b» Gold Chick (J. F. Grylls), Wimmera King (N. B. Holland) and Pipe Dream *B. F. Andrews), which have had two firsts and a second between them.
The others entered from Wallace’s stable were Earl Gabador, Kudaitcha, Pow Wow, Lucky Bride. Pikiatua, Yardstick, and Red Hot.
