TENNIS COMMITTEE REFORM
Meeting Next Month <NZ. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 22. An emergency meeting of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association council to discuss reform of the management committee has been set down for October 3 in Wellington. The existing management committee set this date today prompted by a Hutt Valley request. Tpday the resignations of Messrs F. S. Ramson, S. Painer and J. D. Vickerman took effect. In accordance with Hutt Valley’s request the emergency meeting will “discuss the various aspects outlined in the recent press statements and circulars issued in respect of the ‘trade representative’ question.” Today’s meeting appointed Mr H. N. Burns (Wellington) as an interim management committee member to enable the committee to operate till the emergency meeting. Mr Burns accepted the appointment, but said he intended to hold office only until October 3.
