Sharemarket Weaker At Close Of Trading
Hie week’s trading on the New Zealand stock exchange closed on an easier note. New Zealand-domiciled issues made six gains and nine losses, while overseas-domiciled securities made five gains and 11 losses. Ballins Industries, with a 8d rise to 10s 9d, made the most notable gain among New Zealand shares. Kauri Timber and Gordon and Gotch also made good rises. The falls among New Zealand issues were all comparatively small. Leading Australian issues tended to weaken.
