Russian Spy Allegation
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) THE HAGUE. Sept. 21. The Dutch Foreign Ministry said today it did not know officially until yesterday of the visit to Russia of the two Dutch tourists reported arrested in Transcarpathia on charges of spying. The Soviet news agency, Tass, said today that the tourists, named as Evert Reidon, aged 30, and Lou de Jager, aged 25, had been arrested on August 20 after a tour through Russia.
Tass said the two men had confessed to Russian police that they were visiting Russia on the instructions of the Dutch Intelligence Service to collect information for the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
