Recommendation To Association (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 22. A vital factor in soccer progress in New Zealand was for the sport to own its own grounds, the chairman (Mr J. Kershaw) told a special general meeting of the New Zealand Football Association tonight. This was the "number one” issue the association should pursue, he said. ”We want grounds, money to get grounds, and really good football to get the money to get the grounds.” Mr Kershaw was reporting on the findings of the association’s fact-finding committee —providing answer* ta get soccer "really strong ly established in New Zeeland.'* He called for more coaching, training and finance.
