More Testing Stations

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 22. Five vehicle-testing stations were being planned by the Transport Department, said the Minister of Transport (Mr McAlpine) in the House of Representatives today.

The stations will be erected at Wellington, Wanganui, Hastings. Whangarei, and Invercargill, and used for the testing of buses, trucks and taxis for certificates of fitness.

Warrants of fitness will continue to be issued by authorised garages and testing stations operated by local bodies.
