No more dental dirties will be built at intermediate schools unless they are specifically requested by the Department of Health, according to advice received from the Education Department by the Canterbury Education Board. “This position has arisen because of the increasing difficulty of obtaining sufficient dental nurses to keep pace with the growth in school population,” the board was told by its buildings committee.
