PRICE CHANGES LAST WEEK

In the following table the prices given are those paid in latest recorded New Zealand business. They are compared with the latest prices up to the previous week’s close, making allowance, where necessary, for dividend payments. RISES FALLS

Farewell To Engineer.— Mr D. K. Walker, formerly Post Office supervising engineer (city), was given a presentation last week by the staff of the Christchurch engineers’ branch. Mr Walker is leaving the city to take up his new position as district engineer at Napier. From today. Mr J. R. Sandle will take Mr Walker’s old duties, while Mr L. J. Hewitt will succeed Mr Sandle as supervising engineer (country).
