Foolproof System

Fire In Ship Fire broke out in the Northern Steam Ship Company’s coaster, Tainui, al Marsden wharf, Auckland, about 2.20 p.m. yesterday. The fire, which started from a blow-back from a boiler in the engine room, caused little damage. The present loan approval fop the new pool is for £135,000. No Christmas Cards The Auckland Transport Board has decided to follow the lead of Government departments by not issuing Christmas cards this year. A board official said the board was grateful to the Government for setting a lead.
