SERVICE TO EAST
Refrigerated Cargo IN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Aug. 27. The Crusader Shipping Company announced today that after consultation with the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, it will inaugurate a monthly refrigerated service from New Zealand ports to Singapore, Manila, Hong Kong and other Eastern destinations. The first sailing will be in mid-Octo-ber. The service will cater for both refrigerated and general cargo. The company says it is instituting this service after making a thorough survey on the spot of the potentialities of these areas to absorb more of New Zealand’s primary produce. ft hopes the existence of the service will encourage merchants to seek further outlets tor New Zealand refrigerated produce. Schedules will be strictly maintained and itineraries will be based on a service speed of 17 knots.
