SUMNER SURF CLUB CELEBRATES FIFTIETH JUBILEE,——A special banquet was held in the Sumner Town Hall on Saturday evening, 50 years to the day from the inaugural meeting of the club. From left are Messrs A. Kerr (foundation member), G. Manning (Mayor of Christchurch), N. Staples (jubilee secretary), J. Sutherland (president), and F. N. Kerr (foundation member). The Kerr brothers were the only foundation members present at the celebration.
