£3.6m Lead Sale To United States
f N .Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Aug. 25. Most of Australia’s surplus lead stocks will be sold to the Commodity Credit Coporation, an agency of the United States Government, in a deal worth about £A3.600,000. The agreement was announced by Broken Hill Associated Smelters Pty., Ltd. The agreement covers 45,000 short tons of surplus stocks. The announcement said that the agreed price was “related to the current world price for lead.”
