CHURCH MUSIC

Methodist Synod Favours Council The formation of a New Zealand Methodist Music Council, suggested by the Methodist Church's welfare of the church committee, was both desirable and possible, members of the North Canterbury Methodist Synod agreed yesterday. It was agreed that such a council would have an important and helpful effect on the life of the whole Church. Such a council would keep in touch with sources of church music both in New Zealand and overseas, and help to make available facilities for choir conductorship and orgap training. This would possibly be in conjunction with schools already established by other church denominations.
