Poor man, there is not much he can do to ring the changes in a hair style. If his ears are too big he can’t cover them up. If his brow is vast he oaanot grow a bang or a fringe. He has no make-up to camouflage his defects, just nice soap-and-water cleanliness. I often wonder how we women would manage under similar conditions. Would glamour fly out of the window? Does a man ever suddenly feel he wants to look differerut? Or is he content to wear his hair exactly the same way from the time he is a little boy till he is an old man, Come to think of it, young men show a little venture. Some try the crew cut, the dauphin cut, the short front and even the extraordinary sausage roll effect on top. Beard fashions very from the arresting, narrow, jawline fringe, through the Vandyke, the groomed scalloped kind to the bushy, luxurious effort. When you compare man with woman and her fancy face and hair fashions you realise that man is the steady, contented one’ of the species. He just goes on forever with that “short back and sides, please.”
