PAPANUI CARDEN CLUB

Memorial Trophy To Be Purchased A silver salver trophy in memory of Mrs W. Toomey will be purchased by the Papanui Garden Club. This was decided at the club’s recent annual meeting. The salver will be known as the Mary Toomey Memorial Trophy, and will be competed for annually at the club’s flower show. Mrs Toomey gave many years’ service to the club.

The patron (Mrs A. Nettle- ; ton) presented the retiring ! president (Mrs L Corner) and the secretary (Mrs A. ' Leithhead) with plants in : appreciation of their work during the year. Mrs Corner presented the following trophies: Most points in any class (McKillop Cup): Mrs H. W. Gourlay: B class (McConnell Cup), Mrs J. S. McGill: C class (Papanui Garden Club Cup), Mrs L- Smih.
