Which followed 21 years of negotiations, referendums and lawsuits. was the first in the United States to unite denominations of different structure and origin. "We’ve rescued the climax of our years of pfenning," said a Congregational Christian pastor of Michigan, the Rev. George Kirk. The new oburch, the constitution of which is to be declared tomorrow. is the United Church of Christ.
