Soccer INTERNATIONAL TOURNEY
First Round On July 15 The first round of the Canterbury Football Association's international tournament for the L. A. Goldsmith Cup will be held on July 15. This was decided by the association’s management committee last evening. In this round Scotland will meet New Zealand, and England will meet Holland. The Scottish team will include Irish players, the English team will include Welsh-born players, the New Zealand team will cover British countries, and all Continental players will be eligible for the Holland team. If in any match the scores are equal at full time, an extra smin each way will be played, with corners counting to reach a decision. Last year in this tournament if a match was drawn, each team had three attempts to score from penalties, said Mr W. W. Carruthers, but this had not been entirely satisfactory.
