TRAVELOGUE OF N.Z.
Tour By Radio Executive A travelogue of New Zealand. to advertise this country to Australians, is being made by Mr G. B. Lovejoy, advertising manager of Radio +BH (Brisbane*. Mr Lovejoy passed through Christchurch yesterday on his way to Mount Cook and Queenstown. “The travelogue is being made in co-operation with the Government Tourist and Publicity Department.” Mr Lovejoy said “It consists mainly of interviews with persons who have key positions at the various resorts, and is interspersed with music from a Maori choir. “Although from New Zealand's point of view It will be advertising, the travelogue has been composed as a general interest topic, and no charge will be made by my company for broadcasting it” Among the persons interviewed. said Mr *x>vejoy, were Guide Rangi at Rotorua. the chief project engineer at the Wairakei geothermal station, a Government fisheries man, ar 1 the chief ski instructor at the Chateau at Mount Tongariro The chief keeper of the Auckland Zoo had been asked about the zoo’s kiwis, as most Australians wanted to see these birds when they came to New Zealand. Mr Lovejoy last year made similar recordings in Britain
