Cancellation Of Licence (N Z.P.A -Reuter—Copyright) SYDNEY, June 30 The Australian JockeyClub committee revoked the licence of a well-known Sydney bookmaker. J. Large, today. It also warned a Sydney punter, G. Edser. The cancellation of Large's licence came after he was questioned twice this week. Large was before the licensing committee of the A.J.C. yesterday, and today he was called before the full committee of the clubThe decision against Large was made soon after the committee had announced it had warned Edser. The ban on Large is effective immediately and he will not be permitted to field at the Warwick Farm meeting tomorrow.
Last Friday, the A.J.C. committee announced a ban -on horses raced by Edser. Last year. Edser imported two horses from New Zealand. Chief General and Tintagel. These horses were sold later on the instructions of the Sheriff of New South Wales, on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation. They brought a total of 1650 guineas at auction.
