21 p.c. Rise In Profit (N.Z. Preu Association) AUCKLAND, June 30. New Zealand Forest Products, Ltd, earned more than £lm for the first time in the year ended March 31, when net profit rose £177,113 or 21.1 per cent to £1,016.713, the chairman <Sir David Henry) announced today. Production and sales were a record, he said in a preliminary statement. The profit does not include that of Whakatane Board Mills. Ltd.—expected to be a record £375.000 for the year ending today. Ordinary dividend has been increased from 7 per cent, to 8 per cent., requiring £416,338 (last year £364.296). The preference dividend of 5? per cent, takes an unchanged £116.819. Profit was after providing £96.544 more for depreciation at £886.652 and £172,754 more for taxation at £818.404.
