POWER CUT ON SHIP
Fault On Canberra ■ (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, June 30. An electrical fault today blacked out the 45.000 ton liner. Canberra, for almost two hours. Passengers dressed by candlelight when the power failed. The fault in a steam pipe also cut off the ship’s water supply. A company official said the fault was not a recurrence of trouble whsch stopped the Canberra’s air conditioning plant at Aden. Engineers repaired the electrical system before breakfast was served. Earlier, an official announced over the ship’s public address system that the electrical feed system had broken down. Engineers hoped to repair faulty condenser tubes in the engineroom, which caused the Aden delay, by sailing time on Monday.
