19 INCH TV SCREENS
Manufacture In N.Z. Likely fN Z, Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 30. The vice-president of the New Zealand Radio and Television Manufacturers’ Federation (Mr R. Salde) said today that there were definite moves afoot to manufacture television sets with 19-inch screens. He said sets with 17-inch screens were unlikely .to be manufactured in New Zealand. He said one Auckland manufacturer had already star'ed production of 19-inch sets. Within the next 12 months manufacturers would probably standardise on 19inoh and 23-inch screens, he said, but there would be ample spares to cater for owners of 21-inch screen sets.
