£15,000 Held By Society "The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN, June 14. The Shipwreck Relief Society of New Zealand was in a strong position, the president (Sir Leonard Wright) said when commenting on the report and balance sheet at the annual meeting. The assets of the society at the end of March were £15,709. This represented an increase of £575 on the previous year. “But who knows,” Sir Leonard Wright said, "we may be called upon tomorrow to spend £2OOO or £3000.” "We were fortunate this year in having no losses.” Mr E. C. Hazlett said. Officers elected were: patron, the Governor-General (Lord Cobham); vice-patrons, Mr Holyoake and the Minister of Marine (Mr Gerrard!: president, Sir Leonard Wright; chairman of committee, Mr E. C. Hazlett; executive, Messrs W. R. Clark, I. J. Farquhar, J. F. Poole, Kt F. Cochran, J. A. Fraser, A. J. M. Leslie, W. G. Cameron. : G. S. McLeod and Captain , F. MacKehzie; secretary, Mr I. J. Farquhar.
