HOSPITAL WARD TO REOPEN
Urology Unit For 33 Patients Ward 11 at Christchurch Hospital was expected to reopen as a urology unit next week, the acting secretary of the North Canterbury Hospital Board (Mr D. Horne) said yesterday. However, the operating theatre area of the unit was not yet ready for opening, Mr Horne said. Extensive' alterations and renovations have been carried out in the ward, which was formerly a female urinogenital ward. The ward will take 33 patients, both male and female. The male patients will come from Ward 6 and the female patients from Ward 10. before a genera! rearrangement of accommodation is made so further renovations and alterations can be started in other parts of the hospital.
