CREDIT SQUEEZE EASED
Australian Move By Cabinet
(NZ. Prm Associationj MELBOURNE. June 14. The Federal Cabinet hM decided to ease the credit squeeze in certain directions accordrne to the “Melbourne Heralds” Canberra correspondent. E. H. Cox. He says the aim is to help industries likely to increase employment or stimulate export earnings. The Commonwealth Bank, it is stated authoritatively, will not permit any spectacular banking policy or easier credit. "But it is probably the most hopeful economic decision by Cabinet since last November.” Cox adds. "K probably means that the acute monetary shortage has ended, and that the first stage of a reversion to-more normal credit conditions has begun.”
