Paraplegics
Sir.—ls there in Christchurch—there should be—a home suitably staffed and equipped to house the helpless or seriously afflicted paraplegic for certain periods annually, so that those who normally attend, feed, lift, and wheel them might enjoy at least a month’s rest from their devoted and onerous service? Might such an establishment not be considered in conjunction with the contemplated hostel for permanent cerebral palsy sufferers?— Yours, etc., COMBINED EFFORT. June 9, 1961.
