GRAIN MILLING INDUSTRY
Rise In Production
The value of production in the grain milling industry in New Zealand rose from £4,916.000 in 1958-59 to £5,434.000 tn 1959-60. according to figures released by the Department of Statistics
The main increases were in the production of flour. £164,000; oatmeal. £45.000: and cereals in flake, puff, and biscuit form. £64.000 There was an increase from 9.046.000 bushels to 9.584.000 bushels in the quantity of wheat milled in the same period, and an increase of 102.000 bushels in the quantity of oats milled.
