FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT

Situation.—An intense anti-cyclone covers most of the country. A shallow depression is moving eastwards to the north of the North Island and a disturbed westerly airstream lies to the south of the South Island. Forecast:—

All districts.—Light to moderate variable winds, scattered areas of morning fog clearing and the weather fine with cool temperatures. Outlook: fine.
