CURRENT NOTES
Old Folks Social.— Mrs Hilda Reeve presented another programme for the Christchurch Old Folks’ and Beneficiaries’ Association at a recent social afternoon. Songs and duets were sung by Mrs Ena Fulton. Miss Kathleen Mangles. Mr G. Garraway and Mrs Garraway, and humorous sketches were given by Mr S. D. Wilson. They were thanked by the president (Mr F. C. Rogers). Repertory Life Member.— Miss Noni Enright has been made a life member of the Canterbury Repertory Theatre Society. Miss Enright has been associated with the society since its inception. She was closely associated with Sir James Shelley, appearing in many of his productions. She served on the society’s committee for several years, and was responsible for the front-of-house organisation.
