Some Good Gains But Market Weak
T.C.LAJWZ. jumped a further 6s 6d to 68s 9d in Christchurch yesterday, two days after the bonus issue announcement. Buntings were 3s 6d up at 39s 6d and Henrv Berry gained a further is 6d. These were the only notable gains in the day’s trading. Wright Stephenson, Classic Manufacturing, Clyde Engineering rights and Milbum Cement fell sharply. New Zealand shares showed 15 gains and eight losses on the day’s trading. Overseas shares were mainly steady, recording only four rises and five falls.
