PRESENTING THE GOSPEL

Course For Sunday School Teachers A 12-week course on Gospel presentation to children for Sunday School teachers began last evening in the YJM.C.A. buildings. The course, which has been organised by the Child Evangelism Fellowship, is also open to any persons interested in working with children. "The course has a threefold aim,” said the fellowship director (Mr G. Sparrow) . “Numerous children in Christchurch have no contact with Gospel teaching. We are trying to give people a vision of the opportunities of presenting the Gospel to these children. "We are giving Sunday School teachers practical training with visual aid methods for their classes and we are hoping to get more volunteer workers.” he said. 'There is a great need for people who are willing to set up ‘good news clubs' in their homes where the children can come after school to hear Gospel stories and play games. Lecturers for the course are the Rev. L. S. Armstrong, the Rev. R. Thompson, the Rev. O. Woodfield. Mr G. Sparrow, and Miss E. Currie. Lectures for this month will be given on Friday evenings and the remainder will be held on Thursday evenings.
