N.Z. BUTTER AND LAMB
Shortage In N. Ireland (Special Crrpdt N.Z.P.A.) LONDON. June 7 Complaints that people in Northern Ireland were unable to buy New Zealand butter and lamb were made in Belfast during ‘Commonwealth Week” to Mr A. T. Campbell, Public Relations Officer at New Zealand House. Mr Campbell addressed the Belfast Rotary Club and other gatherings. ‘‘Afterwards several people came up to me to say they were unable to buy’ New Zealand produce in Belfast and that they would like to do so." he said. “As far as I could see. New Zealand butter and lamb was not displayed in Belfast shops —and I saw a number of shops. "There may be good reasons for this of which I am not aware. But I could not but be impressed by people who spoke to me. It was not fust one person, but quite a number."
