AMURI DOG TRIALS

Final Events Held The Amurl Collie Club’s golden jubilee trials concluded at Culverden on Wednesday. An interesting aspect was that the winner of the head, bring back, and holding event (class I). N. W. Briggs, of Motunau, is a grandson of Mr A. Turpin, who won the same class at the first Amuri trials in 1911. H. R. Roxburgh, with Patch, won the W. O. Rutherford Memorial cup with 239 points. In the run-off were also K. Stace's Sharp, K. Coleman’s Lad and C. C. Gray s Glen. The cup is competed for by the four district dogs receiving highest points in the head, bring back and holding, and the head, pull and yard.
