Yesterday’s Trading Had Weaker Tone
■ -. .. . Trading in New Zealand shares yesterday had a markedly weaker tone, but overseas shares maintained a balance. Berlei L. D. Nathan, Sanford and Woolworths N.Z. were the only New Zealand shares to show improvement. Henry Jones in first, business for some weeks rose 4s 6d. I.C.LA.N.Z. finned 2s in the only sales of the day at Dunedin, while Mount Lyell, Timor Oil, A.W.A. and C.S.R. also showed improvement. New Zealand shares made four gains and 19 falls, while overseas shares made eight gains and right falls. John Lysaght had first New Zealand business at 70s in Wellington.
