“A Vote Thrown Away” "A vote for Social Credit is a vote thrown away,” said the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoeke) in Rangiora last evening. Mr Holyoake said he had been told it was claimed that he bad said during the General Ejection campaign that the National Party was the same as the Social Credit party in its views on the monetary system. "This is incorrect,” he said, tn his final election broadcast he had said that "Social Creditors are mainly free enterprisers who advocate reforms to our monetary system.” He added that he bad been interested in money reform and was convinced that some reforms were needed. The Government had since set up the Monetary and Economic Council, he said. It had tackled the matter in a sensible and responsible manner which would achieve worth while results “I urge you to concentrate on the real issue, which is the choice between National and Labour,” the Prime Minister said.
