“Currency Plan Talks”

Member countries of the European Common Market are holding preliminary talks on a possible joint currency for the “Six” according to the Brussels correspondent of the Hamburg newspaper “Die Welt.” The idea, proposed by the American adviser to the market’s High Commission, Professor Robert Trittin, was for the six countries to put 10 per cent of their currency reserves in a common fund, or to reserve this amount for mutual assistance, the correspondent said.
