Constitutional “Finality”

(N.Z.P.A -Reuter—Copyright) SALISBURY, May 29. The British Commonwealth Relations Secretary, Mr Duncan Sandys, will begin talks in Salisbury today with the Southern Rhodesian Prime Minister, Sir Edgar Whitehead, on the territory's Constitution.

Mr Sandys. who arrived yesterday, said he had come to “reach finality" on it. He told reporters there was no question of reconvening the original constitutional conference on the territory. His flight to Salisbury at short notice did not mean that any crisis or great difficulties were impending, he said.

The British United Press said that about 40 yelling African youths had mobbed Mr Sandys’ car as he had left the Salisbury airport yesterday on his arrival from London.
