* (NZ. Press Awn.—Copyright)

NICE (France), May 29. Prince Norodom Sihanouk, of Cambodia, and the Laotian Prime Minister, Prince Boun Oum, decided at their first meeting in Nice last night to ask President Kennedy and Mr Khrushchev to stop sending military supplies to Laos. The Cambodian Chief of State told reporters that a solution of the Laos problem could only be found if the Soviet Union and the United States agreed to leave the nation alone. The people of Laos could then find unity, he said, according to the Associated Press.

In Geneva. Reuter said' Britain's dispute with the Soviet Union over cease-fire arrangements in Laos might be brought into the open today when the 14-nation conference on Laos reassembles after a four-day recess. Unless the Soviet Union responds before the afternoon opening session to Britain’s insistence on more effective policing of the cease-fire, the chief British delegate, Mr Malcolm Macdonald, is expected to raise the question at the plenary meeting. Mr Macdonald meets the other conference eo-chairman. Russia’s Mr Georgi Pushkin this morning to review procedure and decide, among other things, the opening time of the afternoon session. The United States, which on Saturday alleged many “premeditated" violations of the Laos cease-fire, may also seek to lodge its complaints at the conference table during today's session.
