SCHOLARSHIP IN CANADA
Gisborne Man’s Award (N.Z Press Association) GISBORNE. May 28. A young Gisborne man who recently took a master of arts degree with first class honours at Canterbury University College h-as won a scholarship to McGill University, Canada. He is Mr Roger McLean, one of three brothers who are among the top surf swimmers in the Dominion. He is at present lecturing at Auckland University. At McGill he will spend 12 hours a week as a lecturer and will devote his remaining time to studying for his doctor of philosophy degree.
