The appointment of a managing director, the key poet in the reconstituted International Wool Secretariat, is expected to be announced in two or three weeks. The chairman of the New Zealand Wool Board (Mr J. Acland* said this on Ms return to Christchurch from Australia on Saturday. “We are all of one mind about the appointment,” said Mr Acland. when he was asked to comment on reports that there had been differences among the three countries associated in the secretariat.
Mr Acland said it was expected that the name of the managing director would be announced by the chairman of the secretariat (Sir William Gunn), who is also chairman of the Australian Wool Bureau.
