CODE OF ETHICS
The Otago Rugby code of ethics, which will be used in the game between Christchurch and Marist today, has been adopted for all grades in the Otago metropolitan competition and is quickly spreading to sub-union areas. The three points of the code are;— «.!> Any forward not part of the scrum should not be more than an arm’s length from the body of the scrum. (The intention is to prevent loose forwards standing out opposite the five-eighths.) (2) That a similar restriction should apply to the first and last forward in any line-out. (3) That the backs on defence do not advance past a line drawn through the base of their own scrum until the ball is out of the scrum.
