NOT GUILTY VERDICT
False Pretences Charges (N.Z. Press Association > WELLINGTON, May 26. Claude Lanham, aged 56. a grader driver, and John Edward Gilmore, aged 59. a Ministry of Works overseer were found not guilty by a jury in the Supreme Court. Wellington, today on six joint charges of false pretences They were discharged by Mr Justice Hutchison. In a rider, the jury said it felt from the evidence that the supervision and procedure of the Ministry of Works and contractors during the construction of Wellington Airport left much to be desired. The charges related to the work done on Hawkins Hill by a grader, the property of F. and J. Bognuda, Ltd., during the construction of Wellington Airport.
