N.Z. Horses In U.S.
Sir, —Just a line to ask you why the sporting writer for yoUr paper did not include Durban Chief and Vodka in the list of New Zealand horses who have won races in America. Durban Chief, I, think, has won seven races besides a number of places, and has gone a mile in 2.1. Vodka also won a number of races. I own the sire of Durban Chief. Springbok. and think these things should be mentioned—Yours, etc., D. BENNETT. May 23, 1961. [The omission is regretted. The horses were mentioned by the writer in the article, but were ‘■lost” through some lines of type being mislaid Ed., “The Press.”]
