SYDNEY Blay 25 The Fijian Rugby electors have named 17 players from whom the team to meet New South Wales on Saturday will be chosen. The 15 who beat North Harbour convincingly in the opening match of the tour last Saturday have been chosen, with the addition of the centre, Eparama Ravi and the prop-forward, Epeli Rayawa The 17 players are: E Gaunavnu. J Levula, N. Logavatu, O. Dawai (captain), E. Lovodua. E. Ravi. K. Bose. N. Ratuveilawa, S. Kepa, A Kuruisaqila, J. Nabou, N Nabaro. J. Tabaiwalu, S. Vacu. S. Tuva, S. Rasau. E Rayawa. The Fijians’ test chances against Australia appeared to slump alarmingly yesterday when South Harbour beat the tourists 16-11 at Hurstville I OvaL A virtual second South Harbour side led 6-0 at halftime. 4 Failed in Forwards The Fijians failed because of the poor showing by their forwards, who were slow to the rucks. They won the line-outs 1910. but failed badly in the rucks through lack of drive by the forwards. The match was not without Its highlighte. particularly in the second half, when the veteran wing-threequarter. Josefa Levula, scored two tries. Levula's first try was scored after a length-of-the-fleld run. when he intercepted a pass near his own line. Electrifying Run the line to score ah electrifying try. Two of the South Harbour men who tried to. Mop him. G. Cox and J. Weber, had ambulance attention as Levula walked back to try and convert the try, Levula’s second try eame after the captain and centre. Orisi Sawai, centred with a kick from the wing, and Levula. racing Inside, followed through to the ball to score. Hooker impressive The most impressive forward on the leld was the Fijian hooker, Suliasi Cavu. who stood out as a loose forward. * / Cavu lost the serums 3113, but made up for this jriih his general forward
