Dr. John Chang, members of ministers’ families said today. The ministers were arrested in a midnight swoop on their homes by the military on Friday night. A senior American official said the United States was looking for “action and deeds rather than just words” on the junta’s promise to return the Administration to civilian authorities as soon as possible. The official made this statement soon after the State Department announced that it had rejected a visa application by junta leader, General Do Yung Chang, to fly to Washington to ask for support for the military revolution from President Kennedy.
