Auckland Dressmaker On Receiving Charge
(NZ Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 22. Ann Karina Hoffman, aged 22. a dressmaker, was remanded in custody to May 29 by Mr L. G. H. Sinclair. S.M., today when she appeared in the Magistrate's Court on a charge of receiving. Hoffman was charged -with receiving from Warwick Bently Davy frozen meat worth £25. the property of J C. Hutton, Ltd., knowing at the time of receiving that it had been dishonestly obtained. The police prosecutor (Mr N. G. Howes) asked for the remand for further inquiries. Bail was refused in chambers. Mr D. M. Robinson, on behalf of Mr M. Robinson, appeared for Hoffman.
