Possible Fire Averted.— An unknown Hutt couple probably saved the Petone Rugby Football Club’s £16.000 gymnasium from destruction last Thursday night. The couple were passing North Park, where the gymnasium is. when their suspicions were aroused On investigating closer they found fire. They warned a nearby resident who had a set of keys to the building. The fire, which had only just started, was soon put out.—(P.A.)
