Wins For N.Z. Players

The three visiting New Zealand tennis players had easy wins in the opening rounds of the New South Wales schools’ championships at White City today. Alan Brooks, of Christchurch, won through two rounds of the schoolboys' singles titles with the loss of only three games. Paul Thomson won his first-round match. 6-1, and his second, 6-0.
Elizabeth Cavaye had a bye in the first round, and a walkover in the second round of the girls' singles. She easily beat H. Bruce, 6-1, in the third round.
The best Australian prospect. Kay Dening, who beat Elizabeth Cavaye in the under-17 final last week, was equally impressive. She lost only one game to the third round.
