NEW TRAFFIC LIGHTS
Changed Stop For Buses Buses on the Grahams road route will stop in Clyde road just around the corner from the present stop in Fendalton road when traffic lights at the intersection begin working soon. The general manager of the Christchurch Transport Board <Mr J. F. Fardel!) told a meeting of the board’s works and traffic committee this yesterday.
"Buses operating on this leg of the Fendalton route will discharge passengers in Clyde road just beyond the shops.” he said. Mr Fardel! said the move had been made because a Grahams road bus pulling away from the present stop would have to cross two lanes of traffic to get around the corner from Fendaltor. road into Clyde road. Passengers for Waiwetu street using the present stop would have little further to walk when the stop was changed, he said.
