Bank Gives £s2,ooo.— The Auckland Savings Bank this year is giving £52.000 to charitab’e organisations—the largest sum it has given in any one year. Societies caring for the aged receive particular support as well as hospitals and other organisations engaged in medical research. Eight organisations, including the New Zealand Foundation for the Blind, receive £2500. —<P.A )
